2011 OCR Review
• Initiated to determine whether EGUSD provided African American students equal educational opportunities to participate in:
*College and Career Ready Programs*GATE*AP/Honors Courses
2014 OCR FindingsEGUSD policies/procedures for identifying GATE students and for enrolling students into middle and high school Honors/AP courses have an unlawful, disparate impact on African American students.
*OCR did state it was not intentional and was not done so on the basis of race
