biggest day of your high school life!

There are very few times in your life when you get to wear glamorous, by that reason plan to choose and purchase your prom dress around four to six weeks before your prom, remember many formal gowns require alterations and are your prom everything has to be perfect

Important, before buying the dress, please, Match-ing the dress to your body and face shape

1. To ensure the ideal look and fit is necessary to be realistic, we have to know our bodies, this way we are sure that our dress will be perfect, I show you the standard body and you try to identify which is the shape more similar to your body.

2. Know your body shape and how to match it to the perfect cut: you could be an apple, pear, hourglass or a vase (please see the picture). How to determine your body, go to this place (http://www.wikihow.com/Determine-Your-Body-Shape) Now, how choose the dress? Here are some suggestions:

4. Consider your face shape in order to choose the perfect neckline if you have an oval face, then you are blessed with what it is considered to be the ideal face shape, this means you can choose any type of neckline you like.

3. Decide on the color. Different colors tell people what your personality is. If you choose black, sophisticated; blue, confident; pink, fun; purple, bubbly. It’s about what image or mood you want to show.

If you have a rectangle body shape, you need to define your waist and add volume to both your upper and lower body.

If you have an hourglass body shape, look for prom dresses that accentuate the waist and keep a perfect balance between tops and bottoms

If you have an apple body shape, you need dresses that can create the illusion of a slimmer waist while keeping the right balance, between the upper and lower body.

If you have an inverted triangle body shape, you must add volume to your lower body in order to draw attention away from your shoulders.

If you have a oval face, you need to make your face look wider, so opt for necklines that draw a horizontal line near the neck: high or wide necklines.

If you have a square face the perfect prom dress for you should have a vertical shape, so look for scoop necks, Sabrina, sweetheart, cowl necks.

If you have round face you should look for a prom dress that elongates your face to make her look more oval. Always avoid high neck dresses and supersized necklaces.

If you have an oblong face, look for a prom dress with necklines that makes your face look wider and more oval: round, wide Sabrina and neck.

5. Try on dresses in a variety of different styles and cuts to find the one that works best for you.

Now you are ready to choose the dress. Once you have narrowed your choices to one particular prom dress style, try on that style in a variety of different colors and finishes.

NOROOZCelebrating the Persian New Year

No-Rooz, in word, means "New Day". It is the new day that starts the year, traditionally the exact astronomical beginning of the Spring. Iranians take that as the beginning of the year. This exact second is called "Saal Tahvil". No-Rooz with its' uniquely Iranian characteristics has been celebrated for at least 3,000 years and is deeply rooted in the rituals and traditions of the Zoroastrian (This was the religion of ancient Persia before the advent of Islam in 7th century A.D.).

A tradition of the new year celebrations is "Chahar-Shanbeh Soori". It takes place before Saal Tahvil, at the last Wednesday of the old year, well actually Tuesday night! People set up bon fire, young and old leap over the fires with songs and gestures of merriment

After the Saal Tahvil, people hug and kiss each other and wish each other a happy new year. Then they give presents to each other (traditionally cash, coins or gold coins), usually older ones to the younger ones. The first few days are spent visiting older members of the family, relatives and friends. Children receive presents and sweets, special meals and "Aajil" (a combina-tion of different nuts with raisins and other sweet stuff) or fruits are consumed.

The 13th day of the new year is called "Sizdah Bedar" and spent mostly outdoors. People will leave their homes to go to the parks or local plains for a festive picnic. It is a must to spend Sizdah Bedar in nature. This is called Sizdah Bedar and is the most popular day of the holidays among children because they get to play a lot! Also in this day, people throw the Sabze away, they believe Sabze should not stay in the house after "Sizdah Bedar". Iranians regard 13th day as a bad omen and believe that by going into the fields and parks they avoid misfortunes. It is also believed that unwed girls can wish for a husband by going into the fields and tying a knot between green shoots, symbolizing a marital bond.

Norooz Lubia PoloIngredientts

- 1 lb of beef

- 1 Large Onion, chopped

- 1 Jalepeno Pepper, finely chopped

- 2 tablespoons curry powder

- 5 cups chicken broth

- 1 cup tomato sauce

- 1 fresh green beans, cut into 1 inch

pieces

- 3 cups basmati rice, rinsed and drained

- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Prep 20 Min

Cook 1 Hr 10 Min

Directions

1. Heat a large nonstick pan (one that has a lid) over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7

minutes; drain and discard grease. Stir in onion and jalapeno, and cook until tender. Season with curry powder; stir in chicken

broth and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil, and stir in green beans. Reduce heat to medium and simmer until beans are tender,

about 15 minutes.

2. Stir in rice, and cover the pan. Cook on medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes, or until much of the liquid is absorbed. (Be

careful not to overcook rice at this point or the dish will be mushy; the rice should be firm.) Transfer everything in the pan to a

bowl or heatproof container, and return pot to the stove.

3. Heat the oil in the nonstick pan over medium heat. Carefully dump the cooked

rice mixture back into the pan. Wrap a clean dish towel around the inside

of the pot's lid (the ends of the dish towel will be folded over the

edges on top of the lid,) and put the lid on the pot. Cook

over medium-low heat for 35 minutes, without

uncovering or stirring. Remove lid and place

a tray on top of the pot, then carefully

flip it over. The rice will hold the

shape of the pot and have a

nice crust on top called

'tah digh.
