Gosford Times 31st May 1917 KULNURA (From Our Correspondent)

On Sunday afternoon last a Memorial Service was held at Kulnura for the soldiers of the district ho had lately fallen at the war, viz., Wm L C Harris, Bert Grey, Norman John Gibson, Mayson Penn, and M Whitehead. The ser-vice was conducted by Rev S Wedge, of Gosford. It was largely attended, and impressive in character. Mr. W H Kelynack ably presided at the organ. A short resume of the life of each departed soldier was read, and reference made to the sterling worth of each one’s character, and at the conclusion of the service the “Dead March” in Saul was played whilst all remained silently standing, after which the National Anthem was sung. The service and its solemnity will long be remembered by those who at-tended.
