On 5th Novemberj 1946 all of them were sentenced to 30 days' hard labour except Mr. E.M, Kotwal, the leader of the batch,

Mr. Kotwal occupied the Resistance plot twice but the autho­rities refused to convict him. This 78 old resister who had taken part in the 1913 struggle has proved once again his determination to make the necessary sacrifice in the cause of the community.
