Greenway Grameen Infra - Introduction
www.grameeninfra.com
Greenway Grameen Infra (GGI) was formed with the vision of improving quality of life at the base of
pyramid through innovative & user centric solutions. GGI focuses on developing ‘high immediate
impact’ products that solve some of the most critical problems faced by rural communities and the
urban poor employing unique design process that co-creates products with users as opposed to an
isolated laboratory based approach. For our first offering the ‘Greenway Smart Stove’ the teamtravelled over 100,000 kilometers across the country developing over 8 prototypes to finalize the final
design; this ensures that user requirements are adequately captured in the design and requisite
knowledge about the consumer is garnered. The product and the organisation‘s unique approach to
design has been recognized and acknowledged through the following awards and honours:
Businessworld Young Entrepreneur Award, 2011
Greenway Smart Stove chosen as one of the top 3 social
innovations of the year by Tata Institute of Social Sciences
(TISS) at Innolab, 2011
Adjudged as a ‘Pioneer of Tomorrow’ by ET Now, Lufthansa
Pioneering Spirit Series
Nominated for the Atmosfair India Renewable Energy
Innovation Award, 2011
Nominated for ‘Social Enterprise of the Year in Rural
Business’ at the Sankalp Forum, 2011
As a first generation enterprise committed to sustainable development through innovative and
