Getting to Samoens

By Road from Geneva

· Geneva International Airport (GVA) is the closest at 45 mins from Samoens.· There are frequent flights from UK airports - on Easyjet, Swiss Air and British Airways.· Chambery Airport (CMF) and Lyon Airport (LYS) are two hours from Samoens.

· www.sncf.com +33 (0) 8 92 35 35 35· There are regular high speed trains from Geneva to Cluses Railway station- St Gervais/Le Fayet line (which is 17km from Samoens).· From there, buses are available to Samoens, at a cost of approximately €16.20 return. Alternatively, a taxi journey from Cluses to Samoens would be approximately €50.· Another option is to travel on a TGV from Annecy to Cluses, then to Samoens using the above modes of transport.

· Follow the A40 Motorway to France. Exit at Junction 18, Signposted Cluses.· Travel through Cluses, following signs for Taninges/Chatillon.· Approximately 2km after passing Chatillon, the road bends and splits. Turn right, signposted Samoens.· Continue on this road, through the village of Morillon. IGNORE the signs to Samoens, (as it is a longer route) and instead continue on the same road.· At the end of the road, turn Left, crossing the bridge over Giffre River.· Go straight at the roundabout, entering Samoens.

· Take the 3rd exit at the roundabout, signposted Taninges/Annemasse.

Continue on the road for 20m, follow the road to the right, signposted Taninges/Annemasse/Site Nordic de Joux Plane.

The road starts to rise; there is an Intersport Ski shop on your right.

As the road bents left, turn right immediately after the Bank Populaire des Alpes, then left, signposted Col de Joux Plane (The restaurant Au Relais Septimontain is on the corner in front of you).

· Continue on this tree lined road,

· Continue up the hill, the road will bend left and then right, the next entrance on the right is the entrance to Apartment Buqa, · Continue down the driveway, · Apartment Buqa is in the first chalet on the left, · It is the last apartment in the chalet. When looking at the chalet, it is the apartment on the far right. · Welcome to Apartment Buqa

· Continue to ascend the road, and as the road bends to the right, you will see a barn on the right.· Turn right immediately after the barn.
