How to Determine What You Can Do.

Make a list of all the applications staff use daily Talk to crucial workers in each department

Dont forget about administrative tasks

Look at your Intranet, can you augment it with Citrix?

Dont ignore even the simplest of apps.. Calc, WordPad,Notepad, etc.

Talk to other Citrix Admins and see what they are doing

Often times it is the things you do daily that you dont even

realize you can use them over Citrix.

Publishing an Document on your Intranet

First make sure that ICA is a Mime type on your IISServer if not set it up. See Citrix KB CTX804493 (CTX479285 for older versions IIS)

Next Create the ICA File by right clicking on PublishedAPP in Console and choose Create ICA File. Save it.

Edit the ICA file for functionality

Copy the ICA file to your web server

Publishing a Document on your Intranet

Publish a single Office Document or PDF to machines that do not have these programs:

Some Tweaks:

First thing:Turn off Animations!

Change user /install from acommand prompt->

Right Click on My Computer->Choose Properties->Click Advanced Tab->Click on Settings Button->Choose Visual Effects tab->Click on Adjust for best

performance->Click Apply->Change user /execute from acommand prompt.
