  • To start a trial of Motivator, create an account or log in, using your Zoho account, at https://motivator.zoho.com/. You must be an administrator of Zoho CRM to be able to start the trial. Otherwise, you’ll need to contact your CRM admin.

  • The first page you see when you login is the Home dashboard. It has tiles with demo account’s primary KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). While you’re in the demo account, you can click on various areas to check out Motivator’s features. You can always return to Home dashboard by clicking the logo at the top left corner of any page.

  • The demo account shows information based on sample CRM data and can’t be edited. To show information based on your actual CRM data, select “Click here to switch back to your own account” in the yellow banner. You can also switch between the demo and your account from the ▼ dropdown in the top-right corner.

  • Motivator will automatically synchronize with CRM in the background. To double-check that your CRM data is synchronized, click ▼ in the top right corner and select Settings.You’ll see a list of users synced from CRM to Motivator. Activate users in Motivator for in-depth analysis, and so that they can participate in contests and set targets.

  • Teams can be formed based on active Motivator users. Click SETTINGS button at the top left and select Teams to manage your teams and their members.

  • If you don’t think that the CRM data is not reflected correctly on Motivator, click SETTINGS button at the top left and select CRM Sync. Select a re-sync option to trigger synchronization.

  • At Home and any other custom dashboards, you can add KPI, targets, and contests as tiles. Click + KPI / + TARGET / + CONTEST buttons at the top of the dashboard to add the tiles that you feel are important to your sales process.

  • Click any tile to show details or interactive charts.

  • To adjust the tiles, click Action Menu […] on the top right corner of each tile to show available options. Drag the tiles to reorder them in the dashboard. The FILTER button allows you to filter tiles and the MORE button displays additional options, such as rename, share or duplicate dashboard.

  • Paid subscribers can add custom dashboards. Click ▼ by DASHBOARDS at the top and select Manage. You can create or delete custom dashboards, rename, reorder or define people to share that dashboard with.

  • Targets can be set for company, teams, and/or individuals from any available KPI. You can also set personal targets for just you to see. To add a target, click the ACTION MENU […] in the right corner of the KPI and select Set Targets for this KPI.

  • When the targets are set, personalized scorecards will be created to track the progress visually. Click ▼ by TARGETS at the top and select Scorecard to see scorecards that involve you. Personal targets can be checked under Personal.

  • Create contests on KPIs or targets to further motivate your team towards the goal. Click the ACTION MENU […] in the right corner of any KPI or target and select Create Contest from this KPI/Target. Details are pre-defined but you can easily customize by clicking on the item or selecting from CONTEST button at the top.

  • To boost visibility and increase competition, share the status of KPIs, targets, and contests on large screen TV. Click ▼ by TV CHANNELS at the top and select a channel. Paid users can customize items to be shown on TV, while free users can only view the Contests Channel with currently running contests.
