CitiDirect BESM delivers new user-friendly features including a portal environment and a convenient single log in that gives you one-click access to multiple applications. The new interface and navigation are more intuitive, and provide a more stream-lined and customizable electronic workflow. CitiDirect BE includes all the same CitiDirect functionality and tools you use daily but provides easier access to the key tasks you perform.

To log in and begin using CitiDirect BE, simply follow the steps below. Note that clients using a Challenge Response to log in will continue to use their existing Safeword™ Cards,. Clients logging in with Multi-factor Authentication will be sent a User ID and password via e-mail. If you haven’t received your new log in information within two business days via email, please call your Citi representative.

Steps to Log InLogin for Safeword™ Card Challenge Response User:Before getting started you will need your existing Safeword Card and PIN

• Navigate to: https://portal.citidirect.com

• The first time you log in, you will be asked to select the country you are in. Select your country, then hit Go. This will bring you to the Login Page.

• At the CitiDirect BE User Login screen, select the Challenge Response log in method from the drop-down in the Login Method field.

• The Login ID field appears. In the LoginID field, input Safeword serial card number (located on the back of your Safeword Card). Press the Login button.

Note: If you would like to store your login information locally, click the checkmark box next to Remember ME The Challenge Response fields appear. You must input a dynamic password generated by using your Safeword™ card’s numeric keys and your PIN.

• Press ON to activate your existing Safeword™ Card

• At the Safeword™ Card’s Enter Pin prompt, enter your 4-digit pin.

• At the host? Prompt, enter the number “9.”

• At the CHALLENGE? prompt, enter the CitiDirect BE Challenge which appears in the Challenge Field on your computer screen.

• In the Response field on your computer screen, enter the response displayed on the Safeword™ Card. Ensure that your cursor appears in the Response field before entering.

• Click Login. Upon the CitiDirect BE verification of the Challenge/Response, you will be granted access to the system.

• You will be able to log in to either CitiDirect or CitiDirect BE using your Safeword Card.

Login for Multi-Factor Authentication Users: Before getting started you will need the two e-mails you received from CitiDirect BE which include your new log in ID and a temporary password.

• Navigate to: https://portal.citidirect.com

• The first time you log in, you will be asked to select the country you are in. Select your country, then hit Go. This will bring you to the Login Page.

• At the CitiDirect BE User Login screen, select the Multi-factor log in method from the drop-down in the Log in Method field.

• The Login ID, fields appearinput your Portal User ID. you received into the Login ID field. Press the Login button.

• Click Continue.

• Enter the password you received via e-mail in the password field.

The first time you log in, you will be prompted to input a new password. Please be sure to remember your new password; do not write it down.

Navigating from the Home PageAfter successfully logging on, the CitiDirect BE home page will be displayed. Along the top of the screen, on the blue navigation bar, click on the CitiDirect Services menu item to launch CitiDirect.

A new window will launch and provide access to all your existing CitiDirect services through improved navigation. Mouse over or click on the Menu to locate and launch your CitiDirect services. As previously, you will only see menu items for those services to which you are entitled.

Click on the service you want to launch, such as Input New Outgoing in the Payment Initiation Section. That page will launch per the example below. Perform all the actions you normally would do via CitiDirect in these screens.
