Leighton PNG is a wholly owned subsidiary of Leighton Contractors, one of Australia’s leading contracting and project development groups. Leighton PNG is backed by more than 60 years of Leighton Contractors’ proven ability to deliver large and complex projects, on time and on budget.

With its head office located in Port Moresby, Leighton PNG has a proven track record in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and is committed to building strong local relationships that last well into the future. We are more than just a construction business and project developer.

We deliver projects in infrastructure, resources, civil construction, industrial and energy, telecommunications, property, services and facility management. Promoting Local Participation

By actively promoting local participation and respecting the diversity of cultures, we seek to build strong and vibrant communities wherever we work.

Leighton PNG understands the importance of local participation for successful project delivery. By working closely with all local stakeholders and impacted communities we can maximise the benefits to local communities through their meaningful participation in the construction of the project. In doing so, we can also reduce any risk of the project being interrupted or delayed by community or landowner related issues.

Our success in managing local participation is achieved by:■■ Subcontracting a nationally

owned PNG contractor for most earthworks and marine works

■■ Directly involving legitimate Customary Landowners through their Incorporated Landowner Groups (ILGs) representing clan groups of the project site and environs

■■ Directly involving impacted communities by working through the legitimate landowner groups

■■ Using local PNG contractors and suppliers

■■ Providing river gravel and other raw materials and royalties to local communities

■■ Providing training and development that give locals the skills they need for a career in construction, now and into the future

Civil Infrastructure

Roads, Bridges, TunnelsLeighton PNG is committed to providing a consistent standard of excellence by utilising the extensive experience of our parent company, Leighton Contractors, as a project developer and constructor delivering road upgrades, duplications, complex superstructures, tolled motorways or tunnels for new or existing road infrastructure projects.

Ports and MarineFrom reclamation projects and wharf upgrades to the creation of infrastructure and port facilities, we apply excellence in project management and environmental systems to deliver successful ports and marine projects with minimal disruption.

Industrial & EnergyOur Industrial and Energy team delivers multi-disciplined projects for clients within the power generation, energy, transmission and distribution, and maintenance services sectors.

Power

Innovative power generation solutions include conventional thermal power generation from gas, coal and oil, as well as renewable energy such as geothermal, solar, wave and wind power.

Energy

We deliver capital projects and associated infrastructure for the conventional and non-conventional hydrocarbons industries, with a specific focus on LNG, natural and coal seam gas processing, coal gasification, synthetic fuels and fertilisers.

Process Industries

The Industrial and Energy division has significant experience in water treatment, materials handling, iron ore and steel, coal, minerals, glass plants, pulp and paper, ethanol, bio fuels and tunnel control systems.

TelecommunicationsThrough the strength and combined capability of our telecommunications businesses – Visionstream, Nextgen, Metronode and Infoplex – we deliver a wide range of superior telecommunications infrastructure, networking and maintenance services, keeping our clients connected and ahead of the industry.

Our teams provide specialist planning, legal and regulatory advisory services, along with ongoing services to build, operate and maintain modern and traditional networks.
