The ATS Connection The Prevention Educator in each

building is cross trained to assist the Social Learning Specialist in identifying and supporting student needs.

The Prevention Educator can push in to classrooms to address Aftercare/Student needs at grade levels other than 3-5.

Objectives The goals of the GRAV program are to

reduce violence in students’ lives by: Giving students consistent, nonviolent

messages Changing violent norms Promoting a developmental asset

framework Focusing on issues that students feel are

relevant Incorporating academic standards

Target Population Students in grades 3, 4 and 5 at

each site. These grade levels encompass

challenging developmental milestones and have been shown to benefit from a multi session intervention like GRAV.

We can all do something to make our school and classroom a peaceful

Program Delivery Center staff requires 45 minutes

per session. A Needs Assessment is conducted

with the classroom teacher. Appropriate content area for the 4-

6 sessions is determined by the Prevention Educator.
