General academic requirements

It is your own responsibility to research the course offering at the freemover university and find interesting and relevant courses!

The study period abroad must not prolong your study program at ASB.

Therefore, you must know which and how many courses to take in order to achieve full credit for the semester you spend abroad.

You must take 30 ECTS.

• Alternatively, apply for an exemption not to take a full semester program. You must beable to explain how you will obtain the remaining creditcs within the regular time of your study program. Be advised that fewer ECTS will influence the amount of Udlandsstipendium Please find the application for exemption here

You must have preapproved a minimum of 20 ECTS while on exchange.

Specific academic requirements

BSc students :

If you are taking courses worth 10 ECTS prior to going on exchange, you must be sure that you are able to take both compulsory courses abroad.

If you are not able to take both compulsory courses, - classes are filled orthere is an schedule overlap - you will not be able to obtain the required 20 ECTS and will have to pay back the ASB Travel Grant.

• ASB will preapprove courses worth 30 ECTS + 2 additional courses

• You must be admitted to the freemoveruniversity before having courses approved

• If there are no preapproved courses, pleasecontact International Student Counsellor

• Processing time might take 3-4 weeks(often longer in holiday and peak periods)

When you return – Incorporation of Courses

Only credit transferral for approved and passed courses - the courses on your transcript You must always take the exam – not only attendance

No partially passed exams will be transferred

Transferred to your ASB diploma as ”passed” – no marks translation

You must take the contact to the institution abroad in order to get your transcript on time

Superior authority is the Study Board

When you return home, the deadline for incorporation of courses is 15 March 2012

The confirmation that you have been allocated an exchange position will be sufficient.

ASB will not be able to help any further withapplication for private funding.

This is to certify that (student), who is a full time (degree program) student at Aarhus School of Business, has been allocated an exchange position at (host university) in (country) in the autumn semester 2011. This position is part of an Erasmus exchange agreement between Aarhus School of Business and (host university).

The study abroad term has duration of at least 3 months and will be given full credit as part of the student’s course of studies at Aarhus School of Business.

• ASB will not make new Erasmus agreements based on your contact
