Business SituationThe financial institution needed to centralize, standardize and automate its regulatory reporting and data management process across all business divisions. To eliminate current process problems, the group embarked on a cross-group regulatory reporting compliance project called IRIS.

Business SituationOur customer needed to replace the existing Microsoft Access-based system used to manage its liquidity position in Australia and overseas. Business objectives required detailed design, build and installation of a new liquidity risk management system to consolidate existing processes and systems.

SolutionAvanade replaced the current Liquidity Risk and Asset Management systems with a single robust system for data management and reporting. Liquidity positions from the two data warehouses are extracted into a data mart on the Microsoft® BI technology stack and linked to a consolidated liquidity risk management system for a single data view. We developed the new liquidity system in Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, and reports are flexibly delivered via SharePoint Services.
