Get In The Holiday Spirit At The Founders Inn and Spa Kick Off the Season With the Award Winning Grand Illumination

Virginia Beach, VA; Nov. 8, 2017 – There is nothing more festive than twinkling lights to brighten up the holiday season and the Founders Inn and Spa invites you to celebrate with a Grand Illumination like no other. The property kicks off the holiday season with the illumination on November 26th and then continues with various events throughout the month of December that is sure to bring out the magic of Christmas to all who attend. Below is a list of all upcoming holiday events at the Founders Inn and Spa. Grand Illumination - Sunday, November 26 During the day, bring the family out and enjoy holiday entertainment including carolers, horse-drawn carriage rides, face painting, cultural dancers, balloon artistry, magicians, jugglers, and so much more. Then, enjoy a reading of The Christmas Story followed by the illumination of the English Gardens. The schedule is as follows: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. - Founders Illumination Brunch at Swan Terrace Grill

2 – 6 p.m. - Holiday entertainment around property including: • Puppet caravan, cultural dancers, Christmas choirs, pictures with Santa, strolling

entertainment, face painting and balloon artistry 2 – 8 p.m. - Illumination Buffet

• Adults $19.95, children 5-12 years old $7.95, 4 and under free • Reservations encouraged

6 – 6:30 p.m. – Reading of The Christmas Story followed by the Grand Illumination

Santa Slumber Party - December 8, 9, 15, 16 and 22 Get in the Christmas spirit at Founders Inn with a “slumber party” with Santa! Enjoy overnight accommodations and an option to include breakfast with Santa. Guests will also receive a personalized letter from Santa and a milk and cookie turndown service. Overnight reservations are required.

Breakfast with Santa - December 9, 10, 16, 17 and 23, 8 a.m. There is nothing more magical during the holidays for a child than seeing Santa Clause himself and throughout the holiday season, the Founders Inn and Spa offers breakfast with the jolly elf in the red suit himself! Balloon artists and face painting will also be offered. Cost is $29.95 per person and reservations are required.

Teddy Bear Tea - December 10 and 17, Noon – 2 p.m. The magic of Christmas comes to life as children sip Christmas tea, eat holiday treats and list to Christmas stories. Each child will receive their very own Teddy Bear and adults are served a festive afternoon tea buffet. Cost is $26.95 per person and reservations are required.

Evening with Santa - December 19, 6 p.m. Bring your children dressed in their best holiday pajamas as they snuggle up in blankets to hear Santa himself read The Night Before Christmas. Milk and cookies will also be provided. Cost is $18 per child and reservations are required.

Colonial Buffet – November 29, December 6,13 and 20, 5:30 - 9 p.m. Come celebrate at Swan Terrace Grill as our award-winning chefs prepare a holiday buffet feast for the senses. Adults are $21.95, children age 5-12 are $9.95 and children 4 and under are free. Reservations are required.

Christmas Eve Dinner Buffet - December 24, 4 - 9 p.m. Savor a delicious Christmas Eve buffet at the Swan Terrace Grill. Adults are $35.95, children age 5-12 are $15.95 and children 4 and under are free. Reservations are required.

Christmas Day Brunch - December 25, 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. Take the stress out of your Christmas Day celebrations with a very festive brunch for you and your loved ones. Enjoy the beautiful holiday décor while you dine on a sumptuous buffet feast overflowing with fresh seafood, turkey, seasonal deserts and more. There will also be live entertainment and children’s activities. Adults are $49.95, children 5-12 years old at $24.95 and children 4 and under are free. Reservations are required. Red Carpet New Year’s Eve Gala – December 31, 8 p.m – 2 a.m. Join The Founders Inn and Spa for an elegant buffet dinner and dance including an open bar and a champagne toast at midnight. Entertainment will be provided by the 10 Spot Band, a 7-piece ensemble who plays a variety of Motown, Big Band as well as modern hits and classical party songs. For $375 per couple, you will the buffet dinner, open bar and champagne toast, as well as overnight accommodations for two in a standard guestroom for two adults and a New Year’s Day Champagne Brunch for two.
