MOTOR SPORT
The core of the business is tied to communication services / marketing and advertising in the MotoGP – the ‘World Cup’ or motorcycle racing and SBK, or the World Superbike Championship. In this sport, the agency is able to offer, implement and monitor quality services and manage specific sponsorship packages all aimed to give maximum client satisfaction. Too often, the team is unable to manage the full package of communications operations, which are needed by the sponsor, as they are involved in the management of a very competitive, technical sport, which demands 100% attention.
The agency can handle every aspect of services in this sector for the client. Advice can be given during initial negotiations to help define the services needed. It would then be in a position to provide, implement and manage all services in any world championship thanks to a number of personal and professional structures.

MotoGP is the world’s premier motorcycling championship, with a season of 18 Grand Prix in 14 countries bringing together the world’s top motorcycle manufacturers such as Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Ducati, Kawasaki, Aprilia and KTM - plus an elite crop of riders from every corner of the globe. The motorcycles used for MotoGP are purpose-built racing prototypes which are unavailable for purchase by the general public and cannot be legally ridden on public roads. The Grand Prix Road-Racing World Championship was first organised by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) in 1949 and has been administrated by commercial rights owners Dorna Sports under the supervision of the FIM since 1992. It is the oldest existing motorsport World Championship.
MotoGP began a new era in 2002 when revised regulations allowed the participation of bikes with four-stroke engines. For the 2007 season the adaptation of MotoGP bikes from 990cc engine capacity to 800cc resulted in an even more exciting show, with higher corner speeds and even more competitive races – patterns which are continuing this year.Furthermore, in the opening round of 2008, MotoGP became the first motorsport World Championship to host a night-time Grand Prix, with the Losail International Circuit’s state-of-the-art new floodlight system allowing a great start to the season in Qatar.
The following organisations are the main parties involved in planning and producing of the MotoGP World Championship:
FIMFIM (Fédération Internationale de Motorcyclisme) is the sanctioning body of the MotoGP World Championship and is the overall governing body of motorcycling sport on a worldwide level. Includes 93 affiliated National Federations and six Continental Unions.
DornaDorna Sports is the company at the heart of MotoGP which administrates and organises all Grands Prix. The company manages all commercial aspects of the sport and organises each event, with responsibilities ranging from marketing, media services, security, time-keeping and sponsorship co-ordination to TV production and promotion.
IRTAIRTA (International Road-Racing Teams Association) was established in 1986 and is the association of all the Grand Prix teams, representing their voice in the decision-making process. The organisation works alongside the FIM and Dorna to maintain high standards within MotoGP and improve the sport overall.
MSMAThe MSMA (Motorcycle Sports Manufacturers’ Association) takes care of the interests of all the constructors involved in motorcycle racing.
Race DirectionRepresentatives from three of the bodies mentioned above form the Race Direction team at each Grand Prix, with this group of people having responsibility for such decisions as declaring race conditions dry or wet. Race Direction namely comprises the following persons: An FIM RepresentativeA Dorna RepresentativeAn IRTA RepresentativeAn IRTA Riders’ Representative
Grand Prix CommissionMeanwhile the Grand Prix Commission, composed of Messrs. Carmelo Ezpeleta (Dorna, Chairman), Claude Danis (FIM), Hervé Poncharal (IRTA) and Takanao Tsubouchi (MSMA), has the authority to make changes to the Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix Regulations (the rules of MotoGP).
The paddock is the area reserved for MotoGP personnel only:

MOTOGP VS FORMULA 1
ITALIAN VIEWERS CHOOSE MOTOGP OVER FOOTBALL Motogp has exceeded the popularity of football, the national obsession according to a new survey by Sponsor Value (Stage Up/Ipsos). The results of the survey show the World Championship to be of interest to some 28.4 million Italians, 2.4 million more than those who declared themselves followers of Serie A.
This is seen as an important step for Motogp in Italy, from where there is a steady stream of talented riders entering the World Championship. Up to third place in the annual list, the number of people following the exploits of Rossi, Capirossi, Melandri and other stars has increased by 27% since 2002.
The popularity of Valentino Rossi put him fourth in a test of recognition, with 89% of those surveyed being able to correctly identify him. The three most recognised were all Members Of Italy’s Fifa World Cup Winning Team.
