GE's Notice of Dispute on Rest of River plan

22

description

General Electric has delivered a critical response to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's $613 million PCB cleanup plan for the Housatonic River downstream from Pittsfield, Mass. GE is rejecting the EPA's "intended final decision" on the Rest of River project in Pittsfield, Mass. GE has invoked an appeal procedure, known as an "informal dispute resolution," the next step in what could be a prolonged legal battle to come up with a compromise.
