Luftwaffe General der Flieger Otto Langemeyer.

Langemeyer retired in March 1944, and was serving as .. Leader of Dept. 4

General-Quartermaster RLM.

Langemeyer had a most interesting career, entering the Army in 1902. He

went to Spandau and Berlin, engaging in MG Training, and clearly showed

promise in training and administration. This talent led him to positions as

an Adjutant and Court-Officer and an appointment to the War Academy.

Various unit appointments were followed by appointements to the Gen-

eral-staff Reserve-Corps and Beskiden-Corps leading to Chief of Opera-

tions of the 214th Infantry Regiment and then Chief of Operations of the

Senior Quartermaster of the 3rd Army. Following the Armistice he moved

to the Army-Peace Commission and then to the Interior Ministry, Security

Police – Berlin and other quasi Police appointments till retiring in 1921.

He re-appears as Group-Leader in the Presidency of the Reichs Air Protection Federation in 1934 – and played a major role in development of the Luftwaffe, which he officially became part of in 1938. Most subsequent appointments revolved around the RLM and the Ad-ministration and development of supply of Aircraft and equipment to the Luftwaffe, through the General-Quartermasters Dept. RLM. He retired in May 1944 as General der Flieger (General Aviation). This uniform which we have - was obtained from the family, together

with varios documentation from the Bundesarchiv.

Luftwaffe General der Flieger's Visor Cap.

Luftwaffe General Officer's Erel Private Visor Cap with Bullion Insignia , Piping and Chin cord. There is a plastic liner protector, regretfully the Erel insert is not present under the protector diamond although the Erel Logo and motto is printed on the inside of the sweat band. It has a heavy gold bullion gilt eagle. The gold bullion cockade and wreath are gilded and the chin cord is present. The visor and all cloth are in near excellent condition. There minor marks from routine use and wear on the in-side liner and sweatband.

GERMAN WW2 Luftwaffe Pilot/Observers badge.

Pilot observers badge by C.E Junker -- Stunning quality ..one of the finest badges we have ever seen. Marked C.E.Junker Berlin SW on the rear The Combined Pilots and Observers Badge was introduced on 26 March 1936 and replaced the older air crew badge. It took the same format as the former but the eagle was bright silver and the wreath was gilt with the top parts polished and the indentations matt. The badge was awarded on completion of both the pilots and observers courses. Great Juncker's detail to front of badge. of the Eagle, which is beautifully

toned to a dark patina.. but I believe to be pure silver. It is held by 2 ball

rivets..which appear to be silver and run through the stunning Leaf Oval,

which is very heavy gilt -- which retains the fire gilding in its entirety. The

pin appears to be silver, with its support hinge heavy gilt.. the badge pins

to the jacket through 2 custom loops for the pin. As expected on a Junck-

ers badges there is a C shaped catch to rear. The badge is in near mint

condition.

World War 1 Iron Cross 2nd Class. Would appear to be marked KO and 850

hallmark to reverse and 850 silver mark to pin. The front is Iron.. black

with some minor rust/tarnish W and 1914.

TO THE 1914 IRON CROSS 2ND

CLASS to indicate an addi-tional 1st Class award, the Spange appears as an eagle with the date "1939" - pinned above the Cross. Although un-marked, the badge appears to be in Silver and is of out-standing quality. The badge is in near

mint condition.

Luftwaffe officers dress brocade belt and buckle

( Luftwaffe offizier koppelschloss ).

This aluminum brocade dress belt features an "A" ( Assmann)

marked oval buckle with a gilt 2nd style Luftwaffe eagle held by 3

gilt rivets. The brocade is in excellent,

limited wear condition. The belt is

stamped 98 (cm) on the leather inte-

rior tongue. The back of the brocade

is lined with Luftwaffe blue velvet

material. The quality is outstanding.

Rare in this condition.

Africa Corps Uniforms & Equipment.

DAK Equipment—particularly 'used in theatre' is very rare and sought after. The desert conditions and the difficulties of re-supply as well as the final hurried departure from Africa has resulted in a very short supply and used—almost impossible. This is an operational uniform of an Oberst (Colonel) and represents a genuine item that has seen hard action in the dusty desert conditions of the North Africa Campaign. It has a number of small holes and running field repairs but is in outstanding 'operational condition'. The entire ensemble has been in a Private collection since the war and "never" on the open market. This Uniform is available for Sale As shown with all badges and items of equipment.

DAK Tropical Field Cap: Also called Afrikamutze

Deutches Afrika Korps olive tropical field cap M40 visored (peaked) cap, similar in shape to the M41 field cap. Officer rank indicated by silver cord piping around the upper seam (around the top panel), as well as around the upper edge of the front portion of the side panels. This extremely rare cap is made of olive-drab cotton twill lined with loosely woven red cotton fabric for protection from the sun and effective heat transfer from the head. It has a long visor, one-piece "false fold" (rather than functional earflaps), and two metal ventilation eyelets on each side. This olive cotton overseas cap features a factory applied inverted "V" of Deutches Africa Korps Waffenfarbe piping (soutache) -- in golden yellow. The cap has a machine sewn eagle Deutches Afrika Korps national eagle on the front of the crown and the cockade on the front of the false turn-up, the eagle is in light blue-grey on a tan backing, the cockade in black, white and red on a diamond-shaped tan backing. The red cotton interior is well stamped with 1941 Sonnaberger Uniformenfabrik and size 57. No moth or damage. In addition is a metal badge, featuring the crowned eagle with God bless the fatherland... the significance of this badge not yet determined -- this together with the Golden Yellow Waffenfarbe piping, may indicate the 1st (armoured car) Company, which as a converted cavalry unit wore golden-yellow and clearly is the subject of more research. This may lead to authenticating the owner as there would have been a limited number of ‘Oberst’ in this division.

AfriKa Korps Uniform Jacket;

DAK Uniform M1940 Tropical tunic (the same in cut as the M1935 uniform)- ("continental" uniform). It is thigh length, of olive green cloth, with pleated breast and skirt pockets and five slate gray-painted metal buttons. It has numer-ous 'field' repairs (showing it was an operational uniform) although still is in the condition expected of a senior offer -- even in the theatre of War. DAK Uniform Epaulettes.. Rank insignia of the German Wehrmacht Heer Infan-try "Oberst " (Colonel Officer Silver Bullion Shoulder Boards. The 4 strand silver bullion wire is on white wool backing. The 2 pips are gilded. DAK Uniform Cuff title sewn on Uniform World War II machine embroidered sil-ver bullion wire AFRIKA KORPS tropical tan and green cuff title. It has Bevo woven green background and silver bullion embroidered rope borders and let-ters on medium tan silk. The condition is excellent. DAK Uniform spare cuff title.. It has silver gray colour shiny silk borders, palm trees and block letters embroidered on dark tan mohair and is the early 40/41 type. The condition is used, still near excellent but with a minor repair.

Nazi Mauser byf 44 P38 Pistol + Holster P-38 (Pistol has a de-activated cert.)

The Leather holster is as used. Marked GCX 1941 0n the reverse with Waffen Eagle & Sw. stamp with WaA930. Pistol.. Mauser 1944 isssue. The sliding section of the pistol, right has 2 Waffen Eagles and Eagle with Swastika (proofing marks -- feint) with WaA 135 A. The Left P38 bYf44 3831 w and a logo that has a simple crown over BNP with what looks like 2 crossed Meissen swords with DA either side and ? 90 below - and just above trigger 3831 W WaA135 and Eagle. The Ammunition magazine has WaA135 and Eagle on the back and P.38v on the side. The loading mechanism is working properly and the Pistol cocks and fires.

Hat, Shirt with all badges

& fittings + belt & Knife.

HITLER YOUTH HAT. This is a German WWII Hitler Youth hat. Of light brown, cotton construction bearing a German eagle with a metal pin in the front. The RZM tag has can be found on the inside of the leather sweatband marked 263614 and 125 stamped next to the RZM Logo. A leather strap is placed on the front of the hat. Blue piping is seen on the top portion. (Possibly indicating rare Flyer) - Black leather bill. The interior leather sweatband is hardening slightly due to age and there is sewn contemporary minor repair to the top of the hat. The Hitler youth diamond insignia is the official emblem for the organiza-tion. Of enamel construction. The eagle is of metal construction. The wings are spread, the face is looking to the right. A Pin back permits the eagle to be secured to the hat.
