Dry Steam Type

Dry Steam is the simplest method of geothermal power plant. The dry steam from the source drain into a turbine to produce electric power and then the steam condensed in a condenser and injected to the well source

Flash Steam TypeIn a flash steam power plant type, steam is created by flowing hot water in high pressure to a low pressure tank. Flash steam generated from the process chamber then supplied to the turbine to rotate the turbine generator. This type is the type of generating the most widely used today.

Binary Cycle

If the geothermal resource has moderate temperatures, the geothermal fluid can still be used for electricity generation using a binary cycle power plants (binary plants). In the cycle of this plant, the secondary fluid ((isobutane, isopentane or ammonia) is heated by the geothermal fluid through the exchanger machine heat or heat exchanger. The secondary fluid vaporized at a temperature lower than the temperature of the boiling point of water at the same pressure. Fluid heat are extracted by a second fluid, while the geothermal fluid is injected back into the reservoir.
