John DeSalva is the founder and president of Georgetown Financial Group, Inc., a full-service financial services firm headquartered in Georgetown, CT. He is also a Regional Director, a Registered Principal, an Investment Advisor Representative (IAR), and a registered representative of Cetera Advisor Networks, LLC (member FINRA/SIPC).

John is also a founding member of a leading national insurance marketing company, AimcoR Group, LLC, and he currently serves on AimcoR’s board of directors.

What was to become Georgetown Financial Group was founded in 1991, and today we provide a single touch point to support and supervise over 100 financial advisors at Cetera Advisor Networks. Our advisors are actively engaged in financial planning, retirement planning, and wealth management. John is responsible for the strategic management of Georgetown Financial Group, and oversees efforts to educate and train advisors, and to provide them with practice management coaching and succession planning guidance.

Lauren has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on relationship management and business building. She offers business coaching, practice consulting and product education to afford you more time to spend with clients and building a sustainable practice.

Prior to joining Georgetown Financial Group, Lauren was a Regional Vice President with the MetLife Broker/Dealer Group and a Regional Sales Director for MassMutual’s Retirement Services Group. Lauren has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Management from Boston College, and an MBA from the University of Hartford. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Business Administration.

HELEN TAYLOR, CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

Helen has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, primarily focused on marketing communications and relationship management.

Most recently, she was Marketing Manager with the MetLife Broker/Dealer Group where she was instrumental in developing marketing strategies and overall messaging on behalf of the BD. While at MetLife,

Helen was Editor in Chief of the broker/dealer magazines and her work was recognized by IMCA, the Insurance Marketing Communications Association, with a ‘Best In Show’ award for client materials related to the B/D’s proprietary advisory platform.

Helen is experienced in relationship management, especially with vendor firms and strategic partners, and has always been an advocate for registered representatives. Helen has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from The University of Connecticut, Storrs, Connecticut.

ROBIN CONDON, OSJ COMPLIANCE & SUPERVISION MANAGER

Robin joined Georgetown Financial Group in May of 2009. She holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.

Prior to joining Georgetown Financial Group, Robin had been a Compliance Manager with Lincoln Financial Distributors, and a Regional Compliance Officer with Tower Square Securities.

Robin is in charge of developing internal compliance rules and procedures, as well as the supervision of the registered representatives and IAR’s within Georgetown Financial Group’s regional OSJ with Cetera Advisor Networks.

Georgetown Financial Group’s Compliance, Supervision, and Operations support provides you with a one-stop-shop to assist you with your operational and compliance needs. We are a central point of contact and liaison between you and Cetera’s home office. Establishing close knit relationships with you is the cornerstone of our success.

As the Brokerage Manager, Tim is responsible for life, disability income, long-term care insurance and annuity sales through a nationwide network of financial services professionals. Tim works closely with financial advisors, designing insurance plans that are suitable for their clients’ unique situations. He is also very focused on advisor training and consultation through seminars, web-based training, and one-on-one meetings.

Tim formerly spent 25 years at MetLife, where he served in several roles, including Life Sales Vice President, and Consultant of the MetLife Pension Resource Center. Tim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Maryland. He is also a Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant through the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA.
