Geomysore Services (India) Pvt Ltd entered into Memorandum of Understanding with Government of Andhra Pradesh on Jonnagiri Gold Project Geomysore Services (India) Pvt Ltd (GMSI) signed a nonbinding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of Andhra Pradesh on 10th of January, 2016 at a Global Investor Meet held at Vizag, Andhra Pradesh. The Global Investor Meet attracted several national and international investors, who expressed their interest to invest in the newly carved state of Andhra Pradesh. As per the MOU, GMSI is to invest about INR 300 Cr (~USD45 Million) to develop Jonnagiri project into first private gold mine in India. The proposed investment is for construction of onsite processing plant as well as to commence mining operations. Once brought into commercial operation, Jonnagiri Gold Project has the potential to provide employment to 300 people and also can contribute significantly to the development of ancillary industries and other infrastructure. Government of Andhra Pradesh, on its part, will assist in providing required infrastructure to the project as well as speed up the administrative clearances in a fast track mode. This pact with Government of Andhra Pradesh may prove significant and critical for the development of Jonnagiri Gold Project.
