By this moment the State Geodetic Network has about 6 500 geodetic pointsThe State GPS networkThe State GPS network consists of 473 points in ETRS’89 coordinate system, out of which:- 112 are basic points (average distance between two points of 35km)- 361 secondary points (average distance between two points of 15 – 20km)
Geodetic Networks of Local PurposeGeodetic Networks of Local Purpose
About 60 – 65 000 geodetic points of local purpose have been set up in the last 70 years, out which about 35 000 still exist
State Levelling NetworkState Levelling Network
The State Levelling Network has been set up in two basic orders:- І order – 4 500 levelling benchmarks from 5 500 km levelling traverses;- ІІ order - 4 800 levelling benchmarks from 8 000 km levelling traverses.

Mareographic (pegel) stations – for determination of the sea level and for connection with the State Levelling NetworkFor more than 70 years the Black Sea water level and its variation have been registered by four mareographic stations:- at the towns of Burgas and Varna –in operation since 1928;- at the town of Ahtopol and in the location of “Irakli”– in use since1971
The State Gravimetric Network has been set up for about 50-year period of time and includes gravimetric points, grouped in orders as follows:
- zero order - 42 points, - first order - 64 points; - second order - 251 points.
