Study Goals and Objectives

Study Goal: Define mission requirements from Maritime Security and Disaster Management for a future Geostationary High-

Resolution Mission (GEO-HR)

Study objectives: • Consolidation of user requirements for GEO-HR products & services

supporting maritime security and disaster management

• Specification of matching EO products and services;

• Demonstration of EO services in realistic application scenarios;

• Deriving necessary instrument & satellite platform requirements

2nd GEO-HR Workshop

Workshop Goals are:• Demonstrate & Discuss GEO-HR products and application scenarios

(Focus on key features such as Timeliness, Video capabilities)• Capture Requirements from the User Communities • Consolidate the User Requirements (e.g. trade-off & gap analysis) • Establish GEO-HR high level mission requirements• Elaborate observation strategies

Final round table will debate on:• A table with a list of relevant User Requirements for a successful

GEO-HR mission (Product Resolution, Frequency, Spectral Bands, SNR, Mission Governance, Service Delivery)

• A roadmap with potential future Agency actions (e.g. Geo-Oculus continuity, GEO-HR-2)
