Hip hop music, which is also called rap music or hip-hop, is a musical genre which often consists of fast rhythm beats and accompanied with mostly rapping. It has its origins from in the 1970’s from Bronx in new York city, and mostly among African Americans. The culture of hip hop has gone from being a little genre among the Americans to a major style genre through out the world. There are four major traditional pillars of hip hop which are DJing, Break dancing, rapping and graffiti art. How ever there are additional pillars such as hip hop fashion, hip hop slang, and beat boxing.

Hip hop, much like dub step music as a DJing form started purely from an electronic nature with no vocals. The hip hop music genre as music and culture assembled during the 1970’s when things like block parties became increasingly popular in the new York city and like mentioned above, particularly among the African American and also Latino youth living in the Bronx

Rapping is also referred to as MCing, which is in a spoken manner where the artist

speaks lyrically and mostly in rhyme generally to an instrumental beat or to someone

beat boxing.

Most rappers are into the same type of fashion as you can see from my album covers

And pictures how ever if you take a close look you can notice that all the rappers which

Are African have the same type of short hair cut with a box shaped at the front. Also they

All dress more or less the same with baseball jackets and/ or caps and sunglasses etc.

However there are a few suits which means that rapping isn't all about casual clothes

And Blingbling chains, bracelets and watches.

In my opinion I would say that most rappers started of by rapping in the streets with their

Friends and then in a studio to gradually getting signed and as famous as they are now.

Most of the looks on the rappers faces are serious looks to represent how they lived

when they were little, the sort of hard life of the streets and coming out to be

famous rappers.
