The Generic Manufacturing Skills (GMS) WSQ framework is a national skills training system developed by various sectors in the manufacturing industry and WDA. It offers a systematic pathway that aims to equip the workforce with vital industry skills and knowledge to enhance competency, increase operational productivity and professionalism within the industry. Within the framework, qualifications are categorised under two main tracks: namely the Productivity Innovation Skills and the Manufacturing Sectoral Skills.

WSQ Certified Productivity and Innovation Manager(WSQ CPI Manager)The WSQ Certified Productivity & Innovation Manager (CPI Manager) programme is designed for Professionals, Managers and Executives (PMEs) in any sector, to be trained and developed as Productivity Champions or Change Agents within companies.

Besides undergoing core competency-based training, participants will also be able to apply and contextualise the acquired skills and knowledge in an Enterprise Productivity Improvement Project (EPIP), with the guidance of productivity coaches.

Senior management will acquire productivity concepts and knowledge, and employees will be able to apply and implement acquired skills and knowledge to the productivity improvement project under the guidance of Black Belt Consultants from the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF). They will also learn to sustain the companies’ productivity drive by setting up a productivity framework within each company.
