Projection certification of persons in Spain


According to the Draft law for professional services and professional schools (December 2013) in

its Article 54 professional certification schemes says:

1. creating professional certification schemes through appropriate certification bodies as a

mechanism to ensure greater consumer information on the knowledge and experience of

professional service providers will be encouraged.

2. Certification schemes will be voluntary for professional and can be developed and applied by

any duly accredited entity.any duly accredited entity.

3. Possession of a given voluntary certification requirement may not be a necessary requirement

to acquire additional professional duties except if it is required by law or rule of equal rank.

4. professional certification scheme for the same collegial organization will be unique within the

organization, in order to ensure uniformity of systems and transparency for the consumer.

5. General Colleges mandatory membership and national Colleges of compulsory membership

will develop and maintain professional certification scheme.

6. The accreditation of certification bodies under this law shall correspond to the ENAC and held

in accordance with the criteria and standards set out in European legislation on accreditation,

and the UNE-EN ISO / IEC 17024 or standard to replace it.
