Prince Claus Conservatoire helps students to best prepare for his/her future; for thisreason the Personal Integration Project (PIP) has a central position in the Master course,with much freedom for individual interest and opportunities.The flexible parts of the course, for instance the international dimension, research &innovation and entrepreneurship, will contribute to the personal profile.It is essential that the candidate Master student at admission has a concept about his/herprofessional future and the related final project. This may take any form as long as it isdirectly connected to the intended professional practice. In distinguishing the Masterstudent from the Bachelor student we call this a deliberate choice of professionalprospect.The Prince Claus Conservatoire is a relatively small institute that makes the best of heradvantages: small scale, flexibility, international network, the Research Group andinteraction with the professional field. The Master of Music in Groningen is open to all

De Master of Music aan het Prins Claus Conservatorium richt zich in het bijzonder op deindividuele kansen van de student in relatie tot het toekomstige werkveld. Van eenkandidaat Masterstudent wordt niet alleen een hoog muzikaal ambachtelijk niveauverwacht, maar ook het hebben van een visie op de persoonlijke toekomst. Het culturelewerkveld is nationaal en internationaal sterk in beweging en dat vraagt om ondernemende,reflecterende, excellente musici. Het Prins Claus Conservatorium kan de student helpenom zich optimaal op zijn/haar toekomst voor te bereiden. Daarbij staat in hetstudieprogramma het Individuele Afstudeerproject (PIP) centraal. Vanuit hetafstudeerproject wordt de Masterstudie ingevuld, met veel vrijheid voor individuelewensen en kansen. De flexibele onderdelen van de studie, waaronder de aspecteninternationalisering, research & innovatie en ondernemerschap, krijgen een invulling diebijdragen aan dit persoonlijk profiel.Het is essentieel dat de kandidaat Masterstudent bij toelating een idee heeft overzijn/haar toekomst en het daaraan gerelateerde individuele afstudeerproject. Dat kan demeest uiteenlopende vormen aannemen, mits direct aansluitend op de beoogdeberoepspraktijk. In het onderscheid tussen een Bachelor- en een Masterstudent benoemenwe dit element als bewuste keuze arbeidsmarktperspectief.Het Prins Claus Conservatorium is een relatief klein instituut dat met dit concept van deMasterstudie optimaal gebruik maakt van haar sterke punten: kleinschaligheid,
