approved satisfying all components of EO 1061, ensuring CPP students receive the same amount of instruction in United States History, Constitution and American Ideals and Institutions as do students at 20 other CSU campuses

Sample instructions for GE – Minority Recommendation

1. Take one course from every subarea.2. Students can also satisfy one additional

graduation requirement by careful selection of GE courses. This requirement is: R1) American Cultural Perspectives. Courses satisfying this additional graduation requirement are indicated as R1 in the catalog.

Sample instructions for GE – Majority Recommendation

• Take one course from every subarea in Areas A, B, C, and E, take three courses from subarea D1 and one course from subarea D2.

• The CSU mandates four additional graduation requirements that students can satisfy within GE by carefully selecting from GE courses. These requirements are: R1) American History, R2) US Constitution, R3) California Government, and R4) American Cultural Perspectives. Courses satisfying these four graduation requirements are indicated as R1, R2, R3, and R4, respectively, and are listed in the catalog. A single course may satisfy one or more graduation requirement(s).
