Rural Areas of Pakistan

Introduction
The term discrimination refers to unequal behavior.
Threat to the security of the state.
Pakistan needs to empower its women.
The discriminatory attitude towards women as inferior is observed even before their birth.

Gender discrimination is deeply routed in Pakistani society.
Limited opportunities for women to study as well as to work.
Educational status of women in rural areas is very low.
Forced marriages is a very common practice in rural parts of Pakistan.
Young girls are married for the settlement of dispute in the rural areas.
Women are treated like slaves.
Honor killing has become an honorable institution in rural areas of Pakistan.
Honor killing is one of the most horrible forms of brutality against women.
Female infanticide in rural Pakistan is very low.
Domestic violence in rural areas is an endemic problem.
Law enforcement authorities do not view domestic violence as a crime.
In rural Pakistan it is standard for the bride to maintain control over the dowry after marriage.
How to end it ?Government needs to invest more and more in female education.
Efforts should be made by the government for entering more women in employment.
Economic independence can free the women from slavery position.
Government through media must start a mass awareness campaign.
NGOs should also come forward and highlight the cases of gender discrimination.
Need of implementation of laws in the country.
Conclusion If we eliminate gender discrimination from Pakistan , our women will be able to contribute a lot more to their families as well as the country.
