APACE micro hydroelectric project
Aim: connect houses, kitchens and church over three separate electrical circuits. A fourth circuit is fed to the 600-student Beulah PSS.
Village development since the electricity supply was connected- Old houses repaired and up-graded.- Street lighting installed.
School kitchen facilities upgraded- School kitchen facilities upgraded.- Purchase of 3 domestic water heaters for families with children.- Start of a fish freezer business.`- Establishment of a rice farm.- Clinic electric power connected.- Church improvements.- All houses and kitchens connected light.- New income-generating activities using electricity: sewing, craft.
