“The psychology of an organization’s leader is the difference between success and failure. To be successful in business, a leader must learn to destroy the limitations in his or her mind. But to be a leader in your field, you have to master your psychology and make sure you acquire the skills that you’re missing. Success is actually 80% psychology and 20% mechanics. Challenges are inevitable but we have to train ourselves to focus on what we can control. There is no shortage of risk and uncertainty in today’s world. Still, it’s remarkable just how much we ARE able to predict just by considering what point a business is at in its natural lifecycle. Just like teenagers and 40-year-olds have predictable problems, a business too, has foreseeable challenges. A business might have all the right ideas and the mechanics to do the right thing but without the psychology to do the right thing at the right time, it’s a losing battle.”

-Tony Robbins, “Top 200 Business Gurus”, 2003

One of the very few people in world history to successfully summit the world’s

tallest mountain, Mt. Everest – not just once, but twice. Dave Rodney’s

photography, videography and written work have been utilized by the likes of

National Geographic, The BBC, The New York Times, Life and Discovery

Channels International….and even “Oprah”. He is featured in over 20 books

and documentaries, including “Heroes with Heart”, “Extraordinary Lives”, “and Lost in Everest’s Death

Zone” and “Back to Everest – the Dave Rodney Story.

When we travel towards goals which are truly worth striving for, we are often faced with a myriad of

situations we will either consider problems that threaten our dreams, or challenges which will

enhance our development – depending on our attitude.

In this gripping multi-media presentation (which includes life and death accounts of rescues on the

highest mountains in the world), you will appreciate why Dave maintains that with proper and

strategies, our pilgrimage may be easier than we might first imagine. Dave Rodney will energize and

empower attendees with practical skills and attitudes to succeed in scaling the personal and

professional Everests you are faced with every day.

From Fortune 500’s to non-profits, Jim Bottomley has advised

organizations across sectors as they set about charting a path for the

future. Providing insight into how social, economic and demographic

trends are shaping the years ahead, Bottomley’s presentations

combine humor, high-energy and practical examples to leverage

future changes for success.

A graduate of the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, Bottomley is an

entrepreneur and consultant who combines unique planning models with lessons from his own

business experience to inspire innovation, uncover opportunity, boost results and cope with the stress

of rallying change. Bottomley suggests we are entering a new economy, the Innovation Age, where

change is accelerating and technology is transforming organizations like never before. As opposition

to change rises, management faces the dark night of the innovator. That is the time when leaders

back away from the change. Many initiatives die at this point.

Effective change planning means systematically examining the likely good AND bad results of the

change. Then deciding what specific actions will help embrace the good and conversely, which

specific actions will help avoid the bad. Let’s head into the future with eyes wide open.

Low production costs, easy distribution and suddenly, everyone’s a creator. Consumers can now fill

their day with content dedicated to their hobbies, passions and the things that interest them most. For

business, that’s a problem.

See, consumers used to vote with their wallets. Now they vote with their time. And you know who’s

winning the battle for time? Other consumers. Yup. Right now, your customers are more creative than

you are. They’re more innovative than you are. They’re more authentic than you are. Often, they’re

even more helpful than you are.

In the battle for time, your competition isn’t the category leader. It’s the Internet and Social Media. It

doesn’t matter if you’re selling a product, pitching a new idea or trying to get a raise, your biggest

challenge is someone willingly giving you the time to do it.

Recognized as one of the premier motivators in Canada, Meg’s diverse content

has been shaped by her experiences as a staff nurse and later, as an operating

room nurse in regional and major urban teaching hospitals. A highly sought after

speaker throughout North America, Meg has shared the stage with many

celebrities, including Ray Romano and Ellen DeGeneres.

The pace of change in our lives continues to pick up speed. Whether you are faced with stress in the

workplace or the inevitable obstacles of daily living, this presentation offers a refreshing perspective.

This motivational life balance presentation delivers insight and practical strategies that both entertain

and inspire.
