PRODUCT INDUSTRIALIZATION

The heart of the technological process of our company is the Product Industrialization Team.Its activity begins even before receipt of the customer’s order through our collaboration with thecustomer’s designers whom we advise regarding the appropriate characteristics of the gear teeth orsurfaces of their transmission components.

Updated calculation methods for teeth, dedicated calculation programs for each machining process with theremoval of metal shavings and an advanced CAD system allow us to provide manufacturers with all theoperative instructions necessary to meet the customer’s required technical specifications.

Only a profound knowledge of the productive process allows itto be efficiently optimized both in terms of quality as well aseconomics.

The choice of the optimal production cycle, the design of thepart holding equipment and the definition of the tools and theircutting edges are the activities which most greatly characterizethis function.

OUR OFFER: HEAT TREATMENT

In our own heat treatment we carry out:

Hardening and Tempering (Austempering) of heat-treatable and nitriding steels Stress relievingAnnealing in atmosphere Tempering in nitrogen up to 650° (on finished parts) and up to 720° in oxidizer room (for semi-manufactured product)Complete Hardening and Tempering treatment of steels for cold formingStabilizing and Relieving for steels and cast iron Carburizing and quenchingCarburizing with air coolingGas Nitriding


CIMA has been handling all the heat treatments typical for gears and the relative metallurgicallaboratory controls, in house for the last 40 years.

QUALITY CONTROLSince 1999 our Quality System has been certified by TUV according to the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 standards. In March 2010 we obtained the new UNI EN 9100:2005 International Standard for companies involved in aerospace business for the following scope “Manufacture of gears and precision mechanical components and heat treatments for aerospace application”.

CIMA certifies compliance with the requested specifications of allmanufactured components by checking each single processing phase viasize checks done by the technicians themselves during manufacture.
