Dose checkThe dose check feature provides toolsto notify and alert the operatingpersonnel, generally technologists, thatprepare and set the scan parameters,prior to starting a scan, whether theestimated dose index is above the valuedefined and set by the operating group,practice, or institution to warrantnotification to the operator. The dosecheck feature is designed to complywith the NEMA XR-25 standard.

Technologists canpersonalize exams by displaying thepatient’s name on the new 12-inchtouch-screen gantry display. Synchronization of the start ofscan with the start of injection providesincreased opportunity for successfulcontrast bolus timing. It also providesthe ability to set the contrast injectionparameters and to synchronize theparameters between the scanner andinjector as part of the CT scan protocolfrom the console interface.
