HOW HAS THE FORUM WORKED?
The five area operators of discoveries were invited to the forum in May 2012: GDF SUEZ : Gjøa Statoil: Astero, Aurora, Vega,
Peon, Fram Wintershall: Grosbeak, Skarfjell RWE Dea: Titan ENI: Afrodite
Operators agreed on a Forum Charter in October 2012 Achieved alignment on purpose, approach
and a road map. Chair rotates each year through the
operators. GDF SUEZ acted as Chair from May 2012 to
October 2013 when Statoil took over.
The forum has had a high activity level Shared basic high level data and perspectives
(Phase 1). Gained insight to possible area solutions and
worked critical issues (Phase 2).

The forum aims to:
Increase the chance that individual developments & fields reap the benefits from possible area synergies and do not get into a position of regret.
Look at extreme cases to understand what drives the value.
Develop area insights but not draw conclusions.
Help license decision making but not be involved in any decisions.

OPERATOR IN THE BARENTS SEA
A core area for GDF SUEZ E&P Norge.
Present since 2001 (Snøhvit).
First operated well (Heilo) drilled in 2011.
Three operatorships awarded in 2011.
Two new operatorships awarded in 2012.
2013: bought seismic data package of the southeast Barents Sea from NPD.

FROM EXPLORATION TO PRODUCTION
Next exploration well: Byrkje PL 607 spud in the beginning of February 2014.
Close dialogue with other operators in the area: ENI, Statoil, and the PSA.
We welcome the common effort to find the best solutions for the challenges regarding logistics and emergency preparedness in the Barents Sea.
GDF SUEZ is ready to take on the responsibility for developing and producing from a new field in the Barents Sea.
