The film will be set in and around London7"where the police desperately try and rescue the kidnapped deteetive Pete (played by Jude Law). There will also be several scenes set in a^small, dark basement as this is where the Butcher takes his victims<^^^ I have chosen Jude Law to play Pete because he's a welljaiown British actor on both sides of,the"Atlantic...and so the film will hopefully attract an American audience' He is a versatile and bankable, playing the protagonist in films from The Holiday to Enemy at the Gates, and his youthful looks will allow the, audience to empathise and sympathise with him. I have also chosen.^PoInn Bell to play Police Chief Walker and Liam Neeson as the Butcher. ^^ Butcher will be similar in narrative to thejiorror films Saw and Untraceable - both of which have been box office successes - and stylistically like £aw,JwKich is known for its frequent cut away scenes and graphic violence.
