New Technology Standards

• Learning: Engage and Empower – Focus what and how we teach to match what people

need to know

– How they learn

– Where and when they will learn

– Who needs to learn

Page 15: GCCISD Technology Plan

New Technology Standards

• Productivity: Redesign and Transform – Rethink the way we organize students into age-

determined groups

– Restructure separate academic disciplines

– Reorganize learning into classes of roughly equal size

with all the students in a particular class receiving the

same content at the same pace

Page 16: GCCISD Technology Plan

New Technology Standards

• Infrastructure: Access and Enable

– Provide every student, educator, and level of

our education system with the resources they

need when and where they are needed

– Provide people, processes, learning

resources, policies, and sustainable models

continuous improvement; also broadband

connectivity, servers, software, management

systems, and administration tools.

Page 17: GCCISD Technology Plan

New Technology Standards

– Teams of connected educators replace solo

practitioners

– Classrooms are fully connected to provide

educators with 24/7 access to data and

analytic tools

– Educators have access to resources that help
