Leila B. was born on July 12, 1931 in Cullowhee, NC. She grew up on a farm in the beautiful mountains with four siblings. She moved to the little town of Asheville and worked there as a cashier at the S&W cafeteria. Billy Graham was a regular customer and she really got do know him, he was her favorite When she was twenty two her future husband Vince was visiting from Michigan and stopped in the cafeteria. He kept asking her to have dinner with him that evening and she kept saying “No!” Eventually, she agreed and they went out on a group date. That night, he purposed and she said YES! They were then married and raised their family outside of Detroit. Vince and Leila moved to Lakeland in 1975. 1994. Leila has been blessed with 3 children, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 more on the way. She was a active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She loves gardening and visiting with children. Leila is a true blessing To Grace Manor at Lake Morton with her kind, loving smile and sweet demeanor. She always lights up everyone’s day!
