NAME BADGE DRAWING

At the April club meeting, our guest, Bob Borge, drew Santiago Chavez’s name, but because Santiago was not present, the value of the drawing at the May meeting will be $30.

50/50 DRAWINGS April Monthly MeetingYvonne & Reata collected $170. Reata asked our guest, Bob Borge, to draw a ticket. Chuck Hammer’s name was drawn, so half ($85) went to Chuck and the other half went to the club.

CAR SHOW John Tully

Our “All GM Beach Classic” is April 28, 2018 at Ruby’s Dinner in Redondo Beach.

The Car Show planning committee will meet this month April 10, 7 PM at the Tully’s, 21 Roanwood Dr., Rolling Hills Ests. All Vette Set members who wish to contribute to the planning are welcome.

If you have signed up to volunteered at the Car Show I have your assignment, just show up at the appropriate time. Please wear your club polo so you are easily recognized by all. If you haven’t volunteered and would like to please call me or Linda ( 310-378-4062 or 310-619-6900).

Setup Starts at 6:30 AM

Registration is 8:00 to 10:00 AM

Judging is 10:00 to about 12:00 AM

Talley is about 11:00 AM to 1:30 AM

Winners are announced starting about 2:30 PM

End of the Show and Cleanup should be 3:00 PM

Car Show sponsors and donations are beginning to arrive. We have 8 major sponsors and 7 tee shirt sponsors. All 15 of these sponsors will have their logo on our Car Show Tee Shirt. The Major Sponsors will also have a 3’ by 8’ banner with their logos displayed at the Show. A major sponsor contributes $500 or equivalent product and a tee shirt sponsor contributes $250 or equivalent product.

Our Raffle is one of the most enjoyed portions of our Car Show. To make it the best we encourage all Vette Set members to

donate a raffle prize to the Car Show. The easiest way to do this is to contact an owner/manager of a business you frequent and ask if they would donate a gift card, dinner coupon, item from their store, etc. Most businesses appreciate the advertisement, good will, and positive endorsement of a customer. Naturally we appreciate individual club member donations as well. Please let me know if you have a raffle donation so we can figure out a way to get it to Linda Glaza.

If you would like our Sponsor Solicitation Letter to help you approach anyone just let me know and I will forward it to you. All the Sponsor levels and Car Show details are in the letter.

John Kern has asked Malcolm, who brought the classic motorcycles to our show last year, if he would bring some for this year’s Show. He will be coming with more motorcycles. And John has arraigned for Red Bull and there Mini’s to come. Energy drinks for all!
