! What a summer this has been for Philippi! The Lord has showed up, and showed out. What we have witnessed has been a total team effort of many

people. For example, this past Sunday we ministered to the Coaches, Staff, and the Varsity & JV football players of Union County. We served breakfast to over 100 students and faculty prior to the them attending the 9am Worship Service. Think for a moment how that came to be. First, we had to have the facilities and equipment to provide the place for them to eat and then to worship. Next, people had to plan, prepare, practice, participate, and then provide all the things necessary to serve them. Finally, for many years, people have faithfully given above and beyond their tithe to provide the resources needed to reach and teach people the gospel of Jesus Christ. You may not think what you do as an individual is important, but I hope you saw on Sunday how vital each person is that makes up the church here at Philippi. I was so proud to be a part of such an awesome group of believers. May the Lord continue to use our gifts from Him for His glory and the good of the gospel for others.!! Have a great week! I can not wait to see what He is going to do next.

!Philippi Baptist Church, Thank you so much for taking such good care of our family during Cindy’s

funeral. The food was wonderful; you have some amazing cooks at your church. We all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch! Also, thank you for loving on our Cindy. She was so special to all of us, and it sounds as if she was special to you, too. I’m sure that Sherry & Clint knew that their church would open their arms and hearts to Cindy. I know if Preacher Goodale, a true Gamecock, would put on orange, one of Cindy’s favorite colors, then she had to have a special place in his heart! We love you all and thank you from the bottom of our hearts! LOCKHART MIDDLE SCHOOL!! As you know, many families in our close community are struggling financially. One way we can ease their burden is to have a school supply drive. There will be a box in the foyer for the next 3 weeks if you would like to donate any item on this list. Monetary donations for this drive will be given directly to our contact person at the school. Items needed: Lined Paper, Regular School Glue, Pencils, Crayons, Colored Pencils, Marble Notebooks (Black & White) If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! Thanks!
