GATKA PerformanceSPIC MACAY THAPAR UNIVERSITY in collaboration with Aranya’14 hosted a gatka performance on 29 Oct. 2014. The event was made a success with deliberate efforts of team SPIC MACAY & enthusiasm shown by the University for supporting such a different idea like gatka. This evening was made special by the performance of artist of “Sikh Virsa Gatka Academy Regd.” led by a distinguished artistic “Hardeep Gill”. The evening was made more charming by the presence of Dr. RAJESH KHANNA (President of spic macay) and other faculty members. The performance of the artists were appreciated by all. This was yet another attempt of SPIC MACAY toward creating cultural awareness among youth. We gave them something different from mainstream entertainment and in a way made them to interact with their culture, their roots. On the whole, event was successful in creating an impact over the minds of youth which is the main mission of SPIC MACAY.
