The internationally-renowned excavation will serve

as an archaeological plaza and enable visitors to

engage hands-on with the archaeological mosaic of

Jerusalem’s rich history.

The excavation presents the vast range of civilizations

from the time of the First Temple to the Early Muslim

era, creating a portrait of life in Jerusalem throughout

the ages.

Cutting-edge technological marvels such as video

mapping and holographic imaging will re-create

structures from the excavated remnants of the time

periods uncovered and allow visitors to re-experience

life as it existed thousands of years ago.

For example, visitors can wander through a First

Temple period home before ascending to the Palace

of Queen Helena from the Second Temple period and

ultimately depart from Roman villas that stood during

the period of the Jewish exile.

The National Gateway to the Bible will create

an indelible link between archeological

excavations and the Biblical texts which support them—all of which will stand at

the center of ancient Jerusalem.

Project Goals

Artistic rendering of the future interactive archaeological center

We invite you to partner with us in the completion of a landmark excavation which presents thousands of years of Jerusalem’s history and will serve as the archaeological foundation of Israel’s future tribute to the Bible.

• To excavate the remaining 1.25 acre site,

which has already yielded astounding

discoveries from the First Temple period

through the present day.

• To preserve the outstanding remnants

uncovered at the site and prepare them to be

displayed in the interactive museum.

• To conduct scientific analysis and

research on the sifted materials and publish

academic articles on the findings.

• To complete the first phase of

construction including the interactive center.

Within this center, antiquities will be placed

within the structures which reflect the time

periods displayed in the excavation.
