GAS LEAKAGE ALERT & PROTECTION SYSTEM
AIM:
The main aim of the project is to develop a gas leakage alert and
protection system using microcontroller.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Project Gas leakage alert and protection system for
industries is an exclusive project that monitors and controls the leakage of
gas and hazardous fuels in industrial premises continuously.
The operation of this system starts when the power supply to
the Gas module is in ON condition, here the AC mains power supply status
i.e, in ON condition is shown by a bulb. Before the advent of this project,
alert system is in the OFF state, i.e, shown through an exhaust fan. When
ever the gas leakage is detected by the sensor then IMMEDIATELY the
power is shut down i.e, the bulb status is off, and simultaneously the
exhaust fan is ON until and unless gas leakage is not detected. There fore
this system is useful where human errors is possible.
MICROCONTROLLER DESCRIPTION:
The AT89C52 is a low-power, high-performance CMOS 8-bit
microcomputer with 8Kbytes of Flash programmable and erasable read
only memory (PEROM). The on-chip Flash allows the program memory to
be reprogrammed in-system or by a conventional nonvolatile memory
programmer. By combining a versatile 8-bit CPU with Flash on a monolithic
chip, the Atmel AT89C52 is a powerful microcomputer, which provides a
highly flexible and cost-effective solution to many embedded control
applications.
