Over the last two years the engines selected by HIMOINSA for its natural gas, LPG and biogas ranges have passed all the highly stringent tests they have been subjected to. These must ensure levels of efficiency, reliability and durability that meet factory standards. HIMOINSA has chosen engines with low emissions and optional catalyst systems that comply with the local laws in each country. Engines that require lower maintenance, guaranteeing an uninterrupted power supply at an optimal cost: oil change intervals of up to 2,000 hours are just one example.

THE RANGE OF ENGINES USED IN THE HIMOINSA GAS GENERATOR SETS CAN BE USED BOTH IN APPLICATIONS WHERE A CONTINUOUS ENERGY SUPPLY IS NEEDED, AS WELL AS EMERGENCY APPLICATIONS WHERE A GAS GENSET ELIMINATES THE NEED FOR ADDITIONAL FUEL STORAGE. UNITS READY TO RESPOND IN 50 Hz or 60 Hz MARKETS AND WHICH MEET EMISSIONS STANDARDS AS RESTRICTIVE AS THE GERMAN TA-LUFT OR THE AMERICAN EPA.

According to the gaseous fuel used, you will find the right solution for your project from the extensive HIMOINSA gas range. Flexible multi-fuel solutions that enable automatic switching between natural gas, LPG and/or biogas according to the engines. Possibility of incorporating filters that allow the use of these engines in such demanding applications as Oil & Gas, in the case of natural gas, or landfills and sewage plants, in the case of biogas.

The range of HM alternators manufactured under HIMOINSA quality standards ensure optimal performance in any work environment, including extreme temperatures, adverse weather conditions or installations high above sea level. HIMOINSA’s HM series of alternators meet international requirements regarding electrical performance and safety. The compacted winding neutralises the action of the centrifugal force. Our alternators offer maximum reliability at any load. Stability, reliability and resistance during power generation.

HIMOINSA ALTERNATORS HAVE AN ELECTRONIC VOLTAGE REGULATOR (AVR) WHICH IS DESIGNED TO EXCEED THE REQUIREMENTS ESTABLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET. THE SPECIAL RESIN COATING ALLOWS THEM TO OPERATE IN EXTREME ENVIRONMENTS.

The robust rotor design is suitable for the operating speeds of the drive motors. Its axial fan has an air inlet from the side opposite the drive motor. With self-lubricating bearings and a damper cage for single-phase and/or distorted loads, the HIMOINSA HM alternator has an axis of high strength steel. Voltage is automatically adjusted by an electronic regulator supplied by a special winding, isolated from the main winding, which protects it from surges.

The HIMOINSA alternator assembly line incorporates high levels of robotisation, unifying the high quality of the product and ensuring high strength welds. The product is subjected to test beds which test each and every one of the components of the alternator, store data and issue rigorous quality certificates.

IP23 protection as standard across the entire HM series. Optional higher protection levels are available for demanding applications.

HMAlternator

The automatic voltage regulator (AVR) has been designed to exceed the requirements set by the international market with a special resin coating which allows it to operate in any work environment.

Busbar connection system that allows the configuration of all the voltage/frequency ratios required by different international markets.

Optional anti-condensation heaters for environments with extreme cold and/or excess moisture, and special coatings for windings in marine related environments.

HIMOINSA incorporates a DUNGS fuel system or gas train as standard, with the necessary safety and regulatory elements that allow the gas generation equipment to connect to the existing installation without the need to install additional external components to the equipment. Depending on the model, the gas train consists of the following elements:

Optional extras also include high pressure regulators, spark arrestors, high pressure safety valves, venting valves, etc. Whatever your application you will find that the items you need are available. Contact our distributors regarding installation conditions so that HIMOINSA can integrate all the items you need into your equipment.

THE GAS TRAIN THAT HIMOINSA INCORPORATES INTO ITS EQUIPMENT IS MANUFACTURED AND CERTIFIED BY DUNGS, A RENOWNED EUROPEAN MANUFACTURER. THIS CERTIFICATE CONSTITUTES A GUARANTEE OF THE GENERATOR’S COMPLIANCE WITH THE STANDARDS IN THE TARGET COUNTRY AND TOTAL SEALING OF THE FUEL SYSTEM. SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY.

Using double solenoid valves increases safety with respect to the use of single solenoid valves. Furthermore there is no need for external venting of the gap between two single solenoid valves, which simplifies and reduces costs for installation design. Moreover, the incorporation of the gas filter as standard prevents any element after it from becoming damaged by particles in the gas supply, especially the engine.

PRESSURE REGULATORThis device adjusts the pressure in your system. The HIMOINSA generator adapts to you without you needing to adapt to it.

DOUBLE SOLENOID VALVEThe use of double solenoid valves means there is no need to use atmospheric venting as in the case of installing simple valves.

LOW PRESSURE SAFETY SWITCHThis will allow potential problems in the equipment supply pressure to be located and corrective action to be taken.

VALVE CHECK SYSTEMBy injecting pressurised air between the double valve, if it is not possible to achieve tightly sealed closing with absolute certainty, the equipment will lock preventing any leakage.

HGT / NATURAL GAS - MITSUBISHIgenerator sets

Page 13: GAS Generator Sets

Widely used in the world of locomotion, it is beginning to be used by electrical generators. Its versatility allows fuel storage in low pressure tanks, which facilitates use in remote locations or those where natural gas is not present.

It is also used in places where diesel does not have the sufficient quality or is liable to theft. It is also a brilliant solution for protected areas where an oil spill can become a major environmental problem.

LPGFISH FARMSGiven their location in the middle of the sea, HIMOINSA LPG generators are used to prevent hazardous fuel spills that can damage production and the marine environment. Its ability to handle variable loads facilitates work in facilities like these where the load is not constant.

RESIDENTIALOur generators provide peace of mind in homes before possible disconnections from the network and can absorb a full electric load within ten seconds of a network failure.

TELECOMIn remote places like telephone towers, where fuel theft is common, these problems are limited by the use of fuels such as LPG.

RENTALWith two power levels available of 40 and 60 KVA and over 24 hours of autonomy, LPG rental equipment is in high demand for events in cities, where the requirements of low noise levels and fume emissions favour the rental of this type of equipment.

Biogas is increasingly forming a part of our lives. Governments

are beginning to legislate to force the use of methane

gas which is produced by decomposition in landfills

and sewage treatment plants, as it is highly detrimental to global warming and is now

burned in torches. Biogas is 100% renewable and does not

contribute to global warming.

It is also produced in plants engaged in the biomethanation

of agricultural residues such as sugar cane in Cuba, or with livestock such as the

slurry from pigsties. The farmer obtains a form of

renewable energy, increasing the economic viability of their

business.

BIOGASFARMING and AGRICULTUREAnimal and vegetable waste is an uninterrupted energy source if treated in biogas plants, where the methane generated powers the HIMOINSA generator set.

FOODHaving recently joined the world of biogas, this industry generates organic waste which is used to generate biogas and subsequently electricity which is 100% renewable and reliable, thanks to HIMOINSA’s biogas generators.

SEWAGE PLANTS Sewage sludge is an inexhaustible source of biogas, also generating fermentation residues which can be used as fertilizer for agriculture.

LANDFILLSThere is a worldwide trend towards promoting the generation of methane which is produced naturally by the decomposition of urban waste. By using HIMOINSA biogas generators, torches are not required to burn this biogas.
