MIG WELDING

MIG welding : metal inert gas welding: a method of

welding in which the filler metal wire supplies the electric current to maintain the arc, which is shielded from the access of air by an inert gas, usually argon

Tig Welding equipment

TIG welding :  tungsten-electrode inert gas

welding: a method of welding in which the arc is maintained by a tungsten electrode and shielded from the access of air by an inert gas

Arc welding equipment

Arc welding:  is a type of welding that uses a

welding power supply to create an electric arc between an electrode and the base material to melt the metals at the welding point. They can use either direct (DC) or alternating (AC) current, and consumable or non-consumable electrodes. The welding region is usually protected by some type of shielding gas, vapor, and/or slag.

Welding gas cylinder

A welding gas cylinder:  is a pressure vessel used to store

gases at above atmospheric pressure. High pressure gas cylinders are also called bottles. Although they are sometimes colloquially called "tanks", this is technically incorrect, as a tank is a vessel used to store liquids at ambient pressure and often has an open top.

Plasma cutter

Plasma cutting: is a process that is used to cut steel and other

metals of different thicknesses (or sometimes other materials) using a plasma torch. In this process, an inert gas (in some units, compressed air) is blown at high speed out of a nozzle; at the same time an electrical arc is formed through that gas from the nozzle to the surface being cut, turning some of that gas to plasma. The plasma is sufficiently hot to melt the metal being cut and moves sufficiently fast to blow molten metal away from the cut.
