How condensing technology works:

Viessmann gas boilers and condensing technology turn

up to 98 percent of the energy spent into heat. Through

the condensation of water vapour contained in flue gas,

additional heat is released which is returned to the heating

system. This improves efficiency, cuts heating bills and

reduces the environmental impact.

In Germany alone, there are still around two million heating systems in use today which are more than 25 years old. Their owners are often completely unaware of how much money they are wasting unnecessarily on energy, which is pointlessly burned up and goes out of the chimney as unused heat. Furthermore, these old systems have an impact on our climate through unnecessary CO2 emissions which contribute to global warming.

By replacing these floorstanding boilers with highly efficient condensing boilers, consumers can save a lot of energy – up to 35 percent when used alongside solar technology. New possibilities of heating control via the Internet are provided by the ViCare app. By means of the simple graphical interface of ViCare, the heating can be operated intuitively.

Saving energy automaticallyThe system is designed to control a heating circuit. Using the touch feature, the desired room temperature is selected and you switch by finger tip between normal and party ("warm for a long time") mode.

When you leave the house ("On the go"), it also just takes a command to reduce the heating system to a lower temperature, thereby saving energy. If you want to program different switching times for each day, you’ll learn to appreciate the assistance function.

A separate button on the home screen also displays numerous tips for saving energy.

A yellow box informs about an upcoming maintenance and at red, the contact details of the specialist engineer are automatically displayed.

The contact data of the heating engineer is stored for this purpose. Of course, the system operator will decide whether he wants his heating monitored by the specialist engineer via the specially developed Vitoguide app.

Internet interface Vitoconnect 100Vitoconnect 100 is the interface between the boiler and ViCare. It is directly connected via a cable to the Vitotronic control. A plug-in power supply unit is included in the delivery. The only ten centimetres large adapter is intended for mounting on the wall.

The module is connected to the internet and registered via Plug & Play. All it takes is scanning of the enclosed QR code with the smartphone. Vitoconnect 100 is compatible with mobile devices and operating systems from iOS 8.0 and Android 4.4. Control-LEDs indicate the data communication between the heat generator and the Internet.

The ultimate wall mounted boilerThe Vitodens 300-W wall mounted gas condensing boiler can be used both in modernisation projects and in new build. Its output is 1.9 to 35 kW. The MatriX gas burner stands out due to its reliable and efficient operation, as well as its clean combustion and quiet operation. At the heart of the Vitodens 300-W is the stainless steel Inox-Radial heat exchanger. It converts the energy spent into heat with almost no loss.

Wide modulation range The wide modulation range of 1:10 reduces the number of times the burner cycles when heat demand is low. This optimises the pause times and results in a particularly long service life for the ignition unit. The low fan speed reduces combustion noise.

Wide range of applicationsThe Vitodens 300-W has output ratings that make it the ideal wall mounted gas condensing boiler for a wide range of applications:

Personal DHW convenienceFor convenient provision of hot water, there are flexible cylinder solutions available for the Vitodens 300-W. The Vitocell 100-W DHW cylinders, with capacities of 120 and 150 litres, are especially space efficient. They are installed immediately below the condensing boiler. Their Ceraprotect enamel coating ensures a long service life. Versions with high efficiency thermal insulation reduce radiation loss to a minimum. For heavy DHW demand, DHW cylinders with capacities of 160, 200 and 300 litres are available that are installed alongside the Vitodens 300-W.

Can be combined with solar thermal systemsFinally, for use in conjunction with solar thermal systems, versions of the Vitocell 100-W are available with capacities of 300 and 400 litres. DHW heating with free solar thermal energy can reduce energy bills by up to 60 percent.

The extremely sparing use of valuable natural gas and low electricity consumption also result in lower CO2 emissions. Consequently, system users are also making an active contribution to protecting the climate.

Investing in a high performance Vitodens 333-F gas condensing storage combi boiler covers all bases. It is equally well suited to modernisation and new build projects and offers the perfect combination of efficient gas condensing technology and convenient DHW supply. Particular benefits of the Vitodens 333-F include its reliable operation and compact dimensions.

All important system components, such as loading cylinder, expansion vessel, pumps and safety valves, are factory fitted.

For state of the art heating and DHW provision using condensing and solar technology in detached houses, the Vitodens 343-F is an extremely energy efficient, environmentally responsible and advanced heating system.

With a footprint of just 0.4 square metres, this storage combi boiler needs little space, so it can fit into any recess. All components are accessible from the front for easy installation and maintenance. The stainless steel DHW cylinder, with a capacity of 220 litres, offers a generous supply of domestic hot water.

Futureproof with solar integrationThe Vitodens 343-F is already set up for being combined with Vitosol solar collectors for domestic hot water heating. A control unit for the whole systemUnlike other such systems, the Vitosolar 300-F manages with just one control unit: on the attached Vitodens 300-W, the large colour touchscreen of the Vitotronic 200 catches the eye straight away. The energy cockpit displays current operating data clearly.

It shows the amount of thermal energy inside the cylinder and the temperature curve, along with the temperature stratification in the combi cylinder. The solar yield for the energy statement is included, too.

Using the Vitotrol Plus app, you can operate the entire system from wherever you are via the internet.

Robust burner with a long service lifeThe MatriX cylinder burner is characterised by a long service life thanks to its stainless steel MatriX gauze. The integral Lambda Pro Control Plus combustion controller automatically adjusts combustion to fluctuating gas types. The integral stainless steel loading cylinder on the Vitodens 222-W, with its 46 litre capacity, is particularly worth noting. This volume is comparable to a 150 litre DHW cylinder where hot water availability is concerned. The water heated to the required temperature in the heat exchanger (instantaneous water heater) continually charges the loading cylinder and is, therefore, immediately available for further drawings.

All system components such as the loading cylinder, expansion vessel, pumps and safety valves are factory fitted, reducing the time spend on installation on site.

With a footprint of just 0.4 m2, this storage combi boiler needs only a small amount of space, so can fit into any recess. High DHW convenience is guaranteed by a dual mode loading cylinder with 170 litre capacity and solar indirect coil.

Futureproof through solar integrationThe Vitodens 242-F is fully prepared at the factory for combination with Vitosol solar collectors (or an existing system), either now or in the future. The control module for regulating the solar thermal system is already integrated; the solar yield is displayed graphically by the device. All functions are matched to one another and have been factory tested.

Over 50 percent of the energy needed for DHW heating can be saved with this appliance, using free solar thermal energy.
