Program Objectives• Increase leadership skills of youth to
equip them for adulthood.
• Provide counties with a “toolbox” of resources for training officer teams.
• Train “Leadership” Project Leaders

Parliamentary Procedure Demonstration
• 4 to 6 Team Members (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, 2 other members)
• 20 minute presentation
• Must demonstrate these motions: Main Motion, Amend a Motion, Division of the Assembly, Lay on the Table, Take from the Table, Withdraw a Motion
• Will be given 3 problems to incorporate in their demonstration
Parli-Pro Demo Cont…• Teams will be provided: Agenda & Parliamentary Procedure Problems
• Teams must provide: Minutes, Treasurer’s Report, Letter of Communication, Committee Reports
• 15 minutes to review problems and plan their presentation
• Max of 100 points for demonstration
Parliamentary Procedure Motions
• Put a motion before the assembly• Lay on the Table• Amend a Motion• Division of the Assembly• Take from the Table• Withdraw a Motion• Division of a Question• Refer a Motion to a Committee
• Rise to a Point of Order• Appeal to the Decision of
the Chair• Previous Question• Rescind• Reconsider• Postpone Motion Defintely• Postpone Motion Indefinitely• Objection to Consideration of
the Question
Question/Answer Section• 7 questions per team
• Each team member must answer one question
• Teams will determine who will answer remaining question(s)
• Each team member may answer no more than 2 questions
• Maximum of 10 points per question (Max of 70 points)
Interpretation Piece• One page (front & back) report on a service learning project
conducted in the county during the current 4-H year
• Needs to include: Relevance, Response and Results of the project
• May include: photos, captions, charts, graphs, etc.
• Turned in with registration in advance and judged ahead of time
• Max of 100 points
