Itinerary
Day 2 - Fly to Havana
After clearing immigration and customs, you’ll head to El Cimarrón, a delightful paladar (privately owned restaurant) for your first lunch in Cuba. There, you’ll enjoy performances by a local children’s dance troupe and an all-female rap group, and learn more about Cuba’s music scene.
Next, visit the famous Callejón de Hamel, an outdoor haven for Next, visit the famous Callejón de Hamel, an outdoor haven for Afro-Cuban musicians and artists in Centro Habana. On our way to the hotel, located in the heart of Havana, you will be given a familiarization tour which will include Revolution Square and a visit to the Museum of the Revolution. Day 3 - Discover Havana
After breakfast, we’ll hear a lecture by a local expert on
contemporary Cuba. Guests will be encouraged to ask their most
pressing questions.
Then, visit an interactive community pThen, visit an interactive community project devoted to traditional
embroidery and other handicrafts. You’ll also enjoy the rare chance
to see a dance demonstration of the different orishas, part of
Cuba’s Santeria religion.

also provides afterschool programs for children and inspiration to
the community. The variety of fruits and vegetables will spoil you!
We’ll continue our organic theme with lunch at the farm’s own
paladar, Il Divino, where many of their fresh fruits and vegetables
are grown.

Muraleando, one of Havana’s groundbreaking projects, where
artists converted an old water tank into an art-and performance
space.
Lastly, meet university students and business professionals by your
hotel’s poolside, for candid discussions about daily Cuban life.

Day 4 – Old Havana and HemingwayEn route to one of Cuba’s renowned photography organizations, Fototeca, we’ll stop to take in the colonial splendor of Old Havana: its cobblestone streets, vibrant dynamics and stunning architecture.For lunch, we’ll indulge at Sloppy Joe’s, where yesteryear’s movie stars and baseball heroes gathered. Day 5 – The Vinales ValleyAfter breakfast, we’ll leave Havana to head to Viñales Valley for a
beautiful day trip.
For lunch, you’ll walk through a carved cave
to reach El Palenque de los Cimarrones,
where traditional Afro-Cuban music will be
playing.
After a savory smoked pork lunch, we’ll
explore Cuba’s Yosemite-like habitat
befobefore heading back to Havana.

Day 6 - Havana
This morning, you’ll visit a local farmers market, where you’ll experience firsthand Cuba’s dual currency at work. Before lunching at a local paladar in Old Havana, you’ll meet with an oyou’ll meet with an organization that teaches trade skills for the new economy.
After lunch, you’ll meet with an art specialist for an insightful tour of Havana’s Museum of Fine Arts. Tonight, dine at a paladar, a private, family-owned restaurant.

This morning, you’ll depart for Matanzas, where your first stop is a unique book publisher that makes handmade paper and hand-bound books. Signed copies of books can be purchased.After lunch, you’ll visit a dance-and-performing-arts center to meetwith the perfowith the performers and learn about rumba and other folkloric dance forms.
The beat goes on during a special visit with AfroCuba de Matanzas, one of Cuba's most respected folklore groups, performing traditional African dances, percussion, and songs.

After breakfast, return flight to Miami.
