Remember last week, when we thought about what it would be like to be an adventurer planning a trip to
South America? Well, today you are going to create a plan for a diary entry about your adventures exploring
this continent. First watch this video clip and write down a list of things you might see and hear in the
rainforests of South America. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p011mwwt
Now you need to complete your plan. You can draw pictures or write your ideas below. There are some
questions for you to answer to get you started. The last two boxes are blank for your own ideas.
Why did you decide to go to South America? What did you plan to do there?
How did you travel there? How long did it take?
Who went with you? (Remember your advert for an adventurer?) What did you take?
What did you do when you arrived there? E.g. Did you set up camp? Did you go exploring?
What did you see? What did you hear? Did you find anything unexpected?
