Abhiram’s Transformation Abhiram character is depicted as a rich youth without any goal and ambition in life. Director shows the convincing reason for that as the lack of maternal care, as he lost mother at childhood. He was directionless until he meets Janaki, a bubbly and girl-next-door, concerned and compassionate for other problems. Initially, he hates her helping attitude, but as he falls in love with her, he starts accepting her values a bit. But there is lot of conflict in their ideology, due to which she walks out of him to follow and

practice her own ideals. Abhiram then starts searching her, in the process gets into total transformation. He realizes the value of helping, meaning of sacrifice, nuances of life and its many shades. He starts seeing at life in a different dimension, which is totally contrast to his initial attitude. He gets strong support of Gali Seenu in searching Janaki. In the process, he sees the society through the eyes of Gali Seenu and changes his attitude. Finally, when he meets Janaki, he is totally a different person. Gamyam in simpler terms can be understood as Abhiram’s search to reach Janaki, who is real value of life. Gali Seenu acts as change agent in this transformation and helps him realize the value of life and essence of true love.
