This is a great opportunity to shoot at the Loddington

Estate since the 1990’s. The 850 acre estate was

bequeathed to the Trust in 1992 by the late Lord and

Lady Allerton.

Following a period of research to demonstrate the

impact of wild bird game keepering on farmland

biodiversity, during 2011 active game management

has been re-introduced to the estate and a keeper has been employed this year. Partridges and

pheasants will been released and the keepering is aimed at demonstrating an optimal balance

between reared and wild game.

Rolling topography promises a number of great drives with a combination of early season

partridges and mixed days from November onwards.

The anticipated bag will be about 100 birds, predominantly pheasants but with some

partridges. A weekday is preferred, to be taken on a mutually agreeable day in

November/December/January 2012.

Elevenses, an excellent lunch and tea provided on the day. Nearby hotels and B&B’s can be

recommended for accommodation.
