Niagara is St. John’s most frequently played non- conference opponent and fourth overall behind Villanova (111), Providence (106) and Georgetown (103). The Red Storm has won eight of the past 10 meetings with Niagara and five-straight against current members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Coaches Chris Mullin is in his first year as head coach at St. John’s. He was named the 20th coach in program history on April 1, 2015. Mullin returned to his alma mater with nearly a decade of NBA front office experience with the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings. Mullin is the only current Division I coach to be inducted into the Hall of Fame as a player. Chris Casey, a former St. John’s assistant coach, is in his third season as head coach at Niagara. The Brooklyn native owns an 18-54 overall record at Niagara. He previously served as the head coach of LIU Post where he compiled a 62-25 mark in three years.
